Thank you pokeninja90 over at Nice Job Breaking it, Hero! I am very addicted to this blog. It’s like the reddit of otome news, anything new coming out, this blogger has the skinny on it. This blogger also updates frequently and regularly so there is always something new to read about. Pop in and visit, you won’t be disappointed!

Why did you start to blog?

Ah ha…Well actually, I always wanted to start a gaming blog, just was unsure what to write about, and I wanted to have it relate to otome and/or not-so-well-known games.

The rage inducing play through that is the DL, Rejet franchise got me motivated. By “motivated” I mean down right ticked off so writing the blog posts came pretty naturally. I enjoyed it so much that I kept at it. I realized other people also seemed to like them so I kept going. I don’t intend to stop anytime soon either I very much love entertaining everyone who reads this. Even if I do get a little….swear-y sometimes.

What is your favourite book?

I can’t pick just one book of his but, I LOVE Hunter S. Thompson. He is the father of the gonzo journalism movement. Worked for Rolling Stone, National Observer and I believe he even had a stint with New York Times and various other publications. He also wrote some of my favourite books: Generation of Swine, The Great Shark Hunt, Fear and Loathing on the Campaign Trail ’72, Better Than Sex and a host of others. His visceral writing style and pull no punches attitude is what makes him so addictive to read. Reading his adventures alone (and not the political articles) is fantastic! For example the time he started breeding albino peacocks in Montana, I think, got in a fight with random people while hanging out with Bill Murray in Montreal, or started a boat salvage company. He is a weird and wonderful man and he will be missed.

What do you dislike the most?

Nitpicky, rude people who have prefabricated ideas of who you are as a person and pigeon-hole you accordingly. They always seem to be the type of people that have to make your life difficult or feel the need to tell you that everything you do is wrong. Constructive criticism is welcomed, being a Douche-nozzle is not.

He meant this in a different context, but, as Hunter once said: A word to the wise is infuriating.

What is your favourite food item in the mall?

Hands down NY Fries the works fries. Everything you need: grease, skeaze cheese, chili, crispy green onion…Plus dowsing it all with the salty toppings. I don’t even like junk food/fast food but I will never not have these when in the mall….Man, I could really go for some fries rn….

What is your favourite past time activity?

Okay okay, I know this is cheesy, don’t judge me: Spending time with my Ducky, catching up on anime and cooking with him. Or going out for pints with him, or anything with him. He’s cute and I just can’t leave him alone.

    I know how you felt about the not knowing what to blog about, I started my blog and intended it to be like 75% games but then couldn’t think of anything to write about them! I do love finding new and indie ones, and good otome ones though I never know where to look for them so end up finding them ages after they’re released normally.

      1. Yeah, some games don’t have lots of replays in them, I end up replaying my favourite character in a game but not enough for the price of some. I replayed a couple of the characters on dandelion but I don’t think I finished them all. I keep meaning to go back and finish it but then I find others and those stats are so annoying and easy to make a mistake, it got removed when my computer broke and I haven’t checked if the save is there, will be so annoyed if it isn’t. Also want to finish Hatoful Boyfriend, the computer wiped my save and I only had two to go so that put me off, maybe it’s been long enough to redo the ones I had.

          1. I got hatoful when it was in a humble bundle last valentines day and you had to pay $8 for it. I got a few other dating sim games in the bundle too, I totally forgot about then till now. I think most if the games I have are from bundles. They tend to do a dating sim one around valentines each year so it might appear in one again. Yeah the stats put me off the more specific characters, Jihae is just pretty easy so he’s the one I’ve played most if I feel like playing it.
